HOLIDAYS ON THE NORFOLK BROADS

The Norfolk Broads is a fantastic holiday destination for everyone, offering a wealth of places to explore and a wide range of activities to enjoy. Worstead Estate is just a 10-minute drive from Wroxham, Hoveton, and Horning, all incredible spots for visiting the National Park site and the perfect base to relax after a busy day.

  • Wroxham
Wroxham is arguably the most popular town in the Norfolk Broads, bustling with charming cafés, traditional pubs, and independent shops. It’s also a fantastic place to hire a boat for the day or join one of the popular guided trips with Broads Tours. Down the road from Wroxham you can find Horning, another popular destination for day boats and a great place for small village life and cosy pubs.

In Hoveton you’ll find Wroxham Barns, a great place for a family day out with farm animals and small independant shops and cafes.

Wroxham is also just a short drive or walk to BeWILDerwood, an award-winning forest adventure park that is perfect for chidren and families.

  • Ranworth Broad & Hickling Broad
For nature lovers, a visit to Ranworth Broad or Hickling Broad is a must. Both locations offer tranquil walking trails through unspoiled landscapes, ideal for spotting rare birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. At Ranworth, you can climb the church tower for breathtaking views across the Broads, while the floating visitor centre at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve provides an immersive introduction to the area's unique ecosystem. Hickling Broad, the largest of the Broads, is home to bitterns, marsh harriers, and even the occasional otter. With peaceful surroundings and stunning vistas from observation towers and hides, these spots are perfect for a slow-paced, nature-filled day out.
