  • Despite the site having multiple levels, the venue seamlessly integrates slopes and lifts into the building's fabric without compromising its aesthetics.

    Ramp gradients should be gentle, generally with a maximum of 1:15 (1 in 15). However, the Approved Document M allows for steeper gradients (up to 1:12) for short distances or where necessary, but these must be carefully considered. Ramp flights must be at least 900mm wide. Landings are required at the top and bottom of ramps, with a minimum length of 1.2 meters. Handrails are installed on both sides of ramps.

    Personal wireless remotes enable guests to independently operate the cantilever over the steps.

    The unisex accessible toilet, has movable grab bars, low level sink and Assist cord, with a outward opening door.

    The bar includes a low level service area.

  • Tactile paving and contrasting colouration of nosing on stairs to enhance the perception of treads and risers to be more identifiable. Stairways also have handrails on both sides of the stairway to provide stability is within reach at all times.

    Walls, doors and signage are contrasting colours to help identify surroundings more easily. Specific lighting requirements have been met to enhance the visibility for the navigation of the venue.

  • Hearing loops are installed across the venue and work seamlessly with the in-house microphones. An interpreter can be arranged prior to your wedding to assist with the communication of the ceremony and speeches. Hearing dogs are welcome, dog bowl can be provided. The alarm system includes lighting features to alert all guests.

    Ear defenders for sensitive hearing may be provided.

  • All our staff are trained in first aid, and there should always be someone on site when the venue is in operation. In any first aid or emergency event, privacy screens will be used.

    There is an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) on site to restore a normal heart rhythm when someone is in cardiac arrest. A designated ‘Ambulance Bay’ adjacent to the South side of the venue for emergency use only.

  • All toilet facilities are equipped with wall mounted baby changing tables. Designed for infants only, up to 3.5 years of age and weighing less than 50lbs (22.5kg). Conforms to global accessibility requirements including ASTM, EN, and ADA standards.

    Breastfeeding is fully supported at Worstead Estate. We provide a quiet, comfortable, and welcoming space for breastfeeding. Please ask a staff member if you need assistance finding it.

    High Chairs are provided for any catering requirements.
