Discover North Norfolk
If you're planning to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and retreat to the countryside this summer—well, first of all, we don't blame you! And secondly... actually, there isn't really a second point. We just don’t blame you.
North Norfolk offers the peace and tranquility you’ve been looking for. From coastal adventures to quiet countryside trails, this beautiful county has something for everyone.
Coastlines & Seaside Towns
Norfolk is best known for its stunning beaches and with so many to choose from, even locals struggle to fit them all in.
For long stretches of peaceful sandy shores, Bacton, Holkham, and Wells-next-the-Sea are perfect choices. With beautiful views and a calmer atmosphere even during peak times, they’re ideal for a more relaxing day at the beach.
Looking for more action? Head to the bustling seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham. Just a 30-minute drive from our holiday cottages, these lively spots are filled with independent shops, a strong sense of local community, and fantastic beaches, perfect for a full day out.
If seeing seals is on your Norfolk bucket list, visit Sea Palling and Waxham. Both are short drives from Worstead Estate and offer amazing opportunities for seal watching and learning more about these fascinating mammals up close.
Dogs are welcome on most beaches, but always double-check before you go. Some beaches have restrictions during peak months, and if you’re heading to seal hotspots, dogs must be kept on a lead.
The Norfolk Broads
A designated National Park and one of Norfolk’s greatest treasures, The Norfolk Broads is something everyone should experience, whether by foot, car, or boat.
Made up of over 60 open areas, The Broads are home to stunning landscapes, unique wildlife (more than any other National Park in Britain!), and rich cultural heritage.
Take a relaxing boating holiday, hire a paddleboard or canoe, or enjoy a gentle riverside stroll. With picturesque villages and towns scattered throughout the region, you’ll also find great places to eat, enjoy a pint, or just explore.
Only 10 minutes from our Norfolk holiday cottages, Wroxham and Horning are two popular towns offering a wide choice of restaurants, pubs, and daytime activities.
