We will dedicate a tree for you in the Worstead Park landscape, protect the tree with an iron tree guard and look after it for decades to come. You will receive a personalised certificate of dedication, with your chosen wording, and a map of the site, showing the location of your tree dedication.
The oak trees were grown from the acorns of our ancient oak trees in Worstead Park and planted back into Worstead soil in the shadow of lost parkland trees. It is our intention to maintain all the woodlands we create, in perpetuity. Dedicated trees will never be cut down for timber or development. Thinning of areas deep in the wood may be carried out to enhance biodiversity, but dedicated trees will not be impacted by this.
The personalised engraved plaque will be attached to the guard and can act as a memorial for the purpose of your choosing.
You will also be invited to a Dedication Day, where you can meet the team, find out more about Worstead Estate and visit the tree. The date of this dedication day will vary from year to year, but we expect it will be in the Spring of each year.
For every Family Tree purchased, we will plant 10 more across the estate. By dedicating a tree to the landscape, you will be supporting the establishment of new woodland and helping to secure the long-term future of the landscape for everyone.
We can not offer refunds once the tree has been planted. You will not own the tree or the land on which they are situated. Young trees are at their most vulnerable in the first five years of their life. We will control competing vegetation, usually through natural methods. Any trees lost within five years will be replaced. Beyond that, replacement is not included in our dedications.
This iron tree guard is a tall slim version and offers great tree protection against all stock. The ring spacing is tight, with a 20mm round solid top ring, seven stock-spaced rings, and six posts. All fully welded, this metal tree guard is splittable for easy fitting. It comes with 6 ground stakes that bolt to the posts.
Ordering one of our Dedications constitutes a donation to Worstead Estate, not a purchase of the item itself. Accordingly, the donor cannot be refunded.
Under no circumstances may Dedications be offered for resale, commercial or otherwise.
In return for your order, you will receive a certificate thanking you for your Order and various other materials as a thank you for your donation. Where specified, such materials will be available as an instant download.
Certificates sent from our online shop or messages for plaques must not contain anything which would reasonably be deemed to be: Abusive; Defamatory; Obscene; Unlawful; Threatening; or Marketing or advertising, and Worstead Estate may disclose your registration details to the appropriate authorities if necessary.
Please ensure that you provide us with the recipient’s correct details for delivery of all Dedications. You will not be entitled to a refund if it is sent to the incorrect address due to your own error.
If you do change your mind or have any concerns, please contact the Estate Office.
Worstead Estate will cover the cost of any repairs to, or replacement of, any dedication up to 10 years after their dedication. If any dedications require repairs or replacement after that, we will ask the original donor or their next-of-kin for a nominal donation to cover the cost of this work.
If the original donor, or their next of kin, do not wish to cover the costs for repair or replacement outlined above, Worstead Estate reserves the right to remove furniture. We will return the plaque to you if wanted; if not, we will keep it at our head office for a period of one year.
The plaque will be engraved with the message you enter on the application form. We are unable to include any symbols or special characters in your message. Please check this carefully before you finalise your application as regrettably, we are unable to change any mistakes made on the plaque messaging.
You will not own the dedication (including trees or guards) and all dedications remain the property of Worstead Estate. Accordingly, no modifications, customisation, repairs or removal of dedications may be undertaken on dedications other than by Worstead Estate and/or its approved contractors.
In some circumstances, it may not be possible to locate or install your dedication tree in the location you have chosen, or we may be required to relocate your dedicated item due to circumstances beyond our control. In such event we will inform you in writing and explain the options available to you.
In the interests of protecting wildlife and the natural environment, Worstead Estate does not encourage, condone and/or retain the right to remove and dispose of any items including, but not limited to, flowers (whether real or artificial), keepsakes, ornaments or any other adornments placed on, or attached to, dedicated items such as trees or guards.
