The saw mill in the Woodyard fell quite 10 years ago. Now this locally listed building is being lovely restored for your perfect day, ready for weddings in Q2 2020.
In front of the South wing of the Woodyard sits the original saw mill that once devoured entire oaks. As time progresses guest will filter into the ceremony room. A space which once housed the saw mill that shaped the very timbers that make up the rafters of the room.
The space is clean light and airy – perfect for you to make it your own.
The vaulted ceiling and exposed timbers of this traditional Norfolk thatched barn will take your breath away. The barn has been lovingly restored, with all modern amenities, whilst still keeping true to the history woven into its fabric.
The main barn will comfortably host up to 110 for the wedding breakfast. Access from the ceremony room can be found without the need to venture outside should the weather be morose. The bar can be found directly from the space which doubles as a dance floor.
After the wedding breakfast your guests will spill out into the evening framed by the 400 year old mulberry bush. Decking to the south traps the sun and guest may wish to wander down to the lake side or walled garden.
Later in the evening you may wish to enjoy sundowners on the lake island or sit by fire pits enjoying a hog roast.
